Easter, Graduation, Crawling... 8 months!

~Lily Bean~
Another exciting month to put down in the books. You seem to be growing faster and faster each month and I have not quite figured out how to slow it down yet. By far the most exciting moment was when you learned to crawl. You were hanging out downstairs with Mom and started heading for a bottle of cleaner. You took your usual hesitant crawl then you just went for it and haven't stopped since. Here is some video of the day you learned to crawl.

Your favorite things to crawl towards are: Sophie's water bowl, chords, digital devices (cameras, remotes, computers, etc.) and really anything you aren't supposed to have.

Easter

Looking through your Easter basket. Dress, shoes, and some fun food.

All dressed up, now you're really going through your basket. You liked the grass the most.

Easter-time festivities. Easter bunny jacket from Mamaw, jamming with Elmo on the microphone, and swinging in your new swing from Grammy and Pappy Schroeder.

Graduation
Your super awesome and amazing Daddy graduated with his Masters degree from the University of Michigan and we were all so proud of him! Here you are hanging out with some family at our after-graduation-shin-dig.

 Other fun goings-on
Pappy teaching you how to play the piano. You're a prodigy already!
Your Uncle Lukie loves you so so much.  Here you guys are,
hanging out and having a blast.
Entranced by Baby Einstein, munching on your chewbeads.
Besides your beautiful blue eyes and carrot lips, this picture
was taken to show your first bruise. You obtained this during
a precarious escapade around our solid wood chairs.

You found the camera and this is what you did when I took
it away, so I figured I better document moments like these
just to remind you that you weren't ALWAYS the adorable
and well-behaved baby shown in these pictures.

Here you are looking JUST like your Daddy. There is no doubt that you are your Father's child inside and out! That's probably why everyone loves you SO much.

Happy 8 Months!
These were pretty much the only pictures I got that weren't blurry or of the top of your head. You are really on the move now. In fact, as I was taking these you stood yourself up for the first time while hanging onto my leg. I finally put the sticker on your bum in hopes of getting one good shot. I would also like to point out that the picture on the right is the only one I got of you sitting still and smiling because you were looking at your super awesome Daddy, who you love so much. I think your favorite thing to say is Dada (along with ga, ta, ya, ba... still no ma!!)

You also enjoy seeing how high and loud you can shriek, testing the various acoustics in certain rooms. Probably your favorite time of day is bath time; I think you could sit and splash in there all day if I let you. You learned to wave this month, although we're still working on the appropriate time to do it. But you have the wrist action down and it's the cutest thing I've ever seen. You're also working on your clapping- you don't quite have it down yet, it's more of a shaking-your-hands-simultaneously but we get the idea. I could list a million more things you learned to do this month, but we better keep it simple. Until next month, my dear!

  1. Sarah!! Your such an amazing mother! You've had a wonderful example for a mom but have far exceeded the already high expectations everyone had for you. Your family is beautiful and your blog is wonderful. I love you and I hope that my Ontae Jr marries your Brynt Jr, lol you really made a little clone of him. Keep writing, I'm reading.

  2. Tonya, I just love you lots. Thank you so much for saying all those nice things. We are most definitely marrying our babies, they would make beautiful children. People still do arranged marriages, right? I'm sure they won't mind.
